What is Windows Hello?
It is not impossible to fix the Windows Hello issue, but before we move on to the troubleshooting methods, let us know what Windows Hello is. The Windows Hello service by Microsoft allows you to login into your PC or laptop by face recognition, fingerprint recognition, or even by recognizing your iris. Windows Hello doesn’t work on the primitive lines of pin code or password for login. You can access your system via Windows Hello, provided you have a working finger scanner or a webcam.
This feature has extended its service to various apps and websites like banking or other sensitive apps after the Windows Fall Creators Update. But even after its amazing features, it happens that Windows Hello doesn’t work on Windows 10 after the Windows update.

How to Fix Windows Hello not Working Windows 10?
Method 1- Enable Biometrics from Local Group Policy
The fingerprint reading and face recognition feature usually breaks due to the modification in the Local Group Policy after upgrading to Windows 10. And so check the biometric settings from the Local Group Policy.
Step 1: Open Run > type gpedit.msc > Enter.
Step 2: Now navigate to – Computer Configuration> Administrative Templates > Windows Components> Biometrics
Step 3: Double click Biometric > Allow the use of Biometric.
Step 4: Check against Enabled >Apply > Ok.
Now restart your system.
Step 1: Follow the steps as given above for Biometrics.
Step 2: Click on Facial features > choose Configure enhanced anti-spoofing option.
Step 3: Edit > turn-off the Configure enhanced anti-spoofing feature.
Step 4: Reboot.
Method 2- Update Fingerprint or Webcam Drivers Manually via Device Manager
Step 1: Open Device Manager > find biometric device > expand it.
Step 2: Right-click and Choose Uninstall.
Step 3: Manually download the latest drivers from the official site or use 3rd party driver tools.
Method 3- Reset Fingerprint or Facial Recognition Options
Step 1: Open the Settings > Accounts > Sign-in.
Step 2: Find Facial Recognition or Fingerprint > choose the Remove.
Step 4: Get Started > follow on-screen instructions > reset the Facial recognition and Fingerprint settings.
Reboot your PC to fix Windows Hello not responding to the update.
