The thing irritates me when I get a new PC is that extra bloatware software that I don’t want.
This software is, first of all, extra thus no one uses them and when you by a fresh and brand new computer system then this software make it look old and sluggish.
So, I know some people want to remove them but removing them one by one can be disturbing and time taking.
So, here is a quick fix for that. Now: you can easily remove them by just reinstalling the Windows 10 that came with your PC. yes that is easy and this is the process that we are going to talk about in this article.
How this Method Works:
This Rest your PC feature will help you in resetting your PC into the default settings as if it is out of the factory now.
If you have installed Windows 10 by yourself then it means that you will get a clean user experience but most likely you have got a computer from a store and you got Windows installed in it from the store.
That means you are going to get all the bloatware software that there are and your user experience will be ruined.
In this case, you can easily reset your PC, by resetting it to its default settings you are removing each and every bloatware software it is installed and you are getting a factory stored PC.
But with the help of Windows 10 new feature Fresh Start, you can easily go through the resetting process in Windows 10.
I will discuss a few steps that you can follow:
How to Get a Fresh Start on Creators Update:
The “Fresh Start” can be found in the Windows 10 Windows Defender interface. First, go to your start menu and then type in “Windows Defender Security Center” and select that application to open.
If you are not seeing this application then you cant do a Fresh Start on your Windows because you haven’t upgraded your Windows to a Creator update.
But if you want to do a Fresh Start to Windows then you can easily do it by the explained method right below this method named Anniversary Update.
I have explained this method also thus through both of these methods you can do a Fresh Start to your Windows.
First, select the “Device performance and & health” option which are present on the sidebar, and then select the “Additional Info” link which can be found right below the Fresh Start option.
You have to go to settings and then Update Security.
There you will see recovery and click on “learn how to do a Fresh Start with clean Windows installation” click a link under it to access this screen.
But aside from that all those bloatware software and all those externally installed software will be removed permanently and if you need that software then you can download it again.
But if you have backed up your files and data then you don’t have to worry which file to save and which one you should remove. Backing up your data is a proper and effective practice.
On the screen, till now if you have followed you will see a “Get Started” button which you will click whenever you are ready to start the process. And to continue you will have to agree or give permission to a User Account Control prompt.
Then windows will give an indication that “this process can take up to 20 minutes” but the fact is that it will depend on how fast is your computer.
If it is a slow one then it can take more time then showed and if it is fast then it will take less time then showed.
You just have to click next to proceed further.
This tool will present you with a list of all desktop applications that it will install in the process of Fresh Start.
The convenience with this is that it saves the list of the software in a text file on the desktop that it uninstalled to provide you with the ease of redownloading them if you have forgotten.
As soon as you are ready to start then click on start this process and make sure you don’t turn off or disconnect PC from the main source if you do that then you won’t have any operating system left. And for a while, you won’t be able to use the computer.
When the process of Fresh Start completes then you will have a fresh Windows 10 version that is latest and up to date installed on your computer.
Go to windows update and run it but in many cases, it is automatically activated and functions on an automated basis.
From there your computer downloads all the hardware drivers that it requires to function properly.
And if this does not happen meaning the drivers are not downloaded automatically then visit the manufacturer’s website and download all the software and drivers that you need.
How to Reinstall Windows Without Bloatware on the Anniversary Update
This is an earlier version of this feature. This means you can easily install windows 10 on your computer removing all the bloatware present. Thus you don’t even have to upgrade to Creator Update to do a Fresh Start.
Open the Settings app from the Start menu and from there navigate to Update and Security.
Then go to the recovery option and scroll down to the bottom.
Where you will see “Learn how to start fresh with a clean installation of Windows” option link. This will be present under More Recovery Options.
If you want to save your personal files then click on save personal data and if not then click nothing and move forward.
In both cases, this will remove all your programs and software.
And when you click on start then it will download the necessary files to install Windows 10 and then when you begin the process it will install a fresh Windows 10 on your computer. Providing you with a clean operating system from any bloatware software.
