How to Keep a Windows Laptop Awake With the Lid Closed

It is not too much difficult to keep the windows laptop awake while the lid is closed.

There are some steps that you will need to fulfil in your battery and power settings. 

We will instruct you how you can keep your laptop on while the lid is closed.

Ther can be problems if you keep your laptop on for a very long time. It can easily be heated up and cause your processor to function slower. 

This can be very exciting but somethings should be left as they are or what they function to do because changing them can cause some malfunction or disruption in some programs or hardware. 

So, let’s see how you can keep your laptop awake while the lid is closed.

  1. First, move your cursor at the right bottom corner, you will see a system tray, the find an icon of the battery, it should be in the tray so you will have to click the arrow button to show all the icons that are there in the tray, after finding it right-click on it and select the option of power option
  2. The other alternative for this is to go into settings, then go to system, after that go to power and sleep and then select the additional power settings from the right menu
  3. After that, on the left of power resulting options, choose what closing the lid does
  4. After that, you will see the option for power and sleep buttons, under the closing the lid, all you have to do is to move the cursor on the drop-down box and click on do-nothing option
  5. If you like it then you can change the option to an only on the battery as well but this can create some issues 
  6. After that, you just have to click save changes and you are good to go

Now, you can easily make your system awake after you have put down the lid.
